Skydive Jersey Working hard to resume Operations

As Jersey opens it’s borders once more we feel we are a step closer to commencing flying again. Testing has been made available for all travellers through the airport and Elizabeth Terminal, when leaving the Island.

For Jersey the Social distancing guidance is now to remain 1m apart, and outside only meet up to 20 people. These conditions, still do not allow us to commence Tandem Skydiving, as being close to each other in the aircraft is contrary to current Guidance for General Aviation, including flight training round the Island flights, and other aerial activities.

The UK this weekend have gone a step further, and are allowing closer contact if face coverings are worn, and thorough risk assessments have been produced, which is something Skydive Jersey has been working on !

Hopefully the States will follow the lead of the UK advice, after which we can begin to think about commencing Skydiving operations once more !
